Join Pack 794

Come try it — visitors are always welcome.

You don't need any experience, gear, or camping know-how to start. Show up, say hi, and see if it's a fit.

Three steps

How joining works.

  1. 1Register online through Scouting America (link above). It takes a few minutes.
  2. 2Visit a meeting or event so your Scout can meet his den.
  3. 3Optional: Youth Protection Training — recommended, but only required if you'd like to volunteer.

What it costs

Pack dues are $100 per Scout for the year, covering badges, rank awards, and pack activities.

We never want cost to keep a kid out of Scouting — if the fee is a barrier, just ask us about assistance.

Good to know

Questions parents usually ask.

Does my child need any experience?

None at all. Most Scouts and parents start knowing nothing about camping or knots — that's the whole point. Leaders walk everyone through it.

What's the time commitment?

Generally a den meeting during the month, a monthly pack gathering, and optional outings. Families do as much as they can; nobody's keeping score.

Can siblings come along?

Yes — Pack 794 is family-friendly, and siblings are welcome to join in the fun at most events.

What gear do we need to buy?

To start, essentially nothing. A uniform and handbook come later, and we'll point you to exactly what's needed for your Scout's rank. See Forms & Resources.

Which app do I need?

Just one — the free Scouting app (iOS and Android). It's the mobile side of Scoutbook Plus, where you'll RSVP and track your Scout's progress. Download links and details are on Forms & Resources.

Who's running all this?

Volunteer parents, every one background-checked and trained in Youth Protection. Meet them on the Leaders & Contact page.
